The Adolescent Inpatient Mental Health Unit (Brolga) is located in Hornsby.
What you'll be doing
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) you demonstrate expertise in the acute inpatient unit providing leadership, advice and recommendations on all aspects of related care. The CNS2 formulates and implements policy, guides practice and engages in education and research activities. The CNS2 acts as a role model providing complex care to those patients requiring advanced clinical skills regarding their area of specialty. There is an expectation of developing assessment skills in coaching, teaching and developing staff in the team, where you will be supported well in your professional development.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Division 1 Registered Nurse with post registration qualification relevant to speciality and at least 3 years experience working in the clinical area of their post graduate qualification or such other qualifications or relevant equivalent experience.
- Evidence of and commitment to patient/customer focused care, clinical governance and quality improvement
- Evidence of advanced level of knowledge and skill related to management of speciality area
- Demonstrated knowledge in initiating and implementing changes to improve clinical service delivery and outcomes, models of care, evidence based practice and practice development.
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team, with an emphasis on service delivery, quality of care and team cohesion.
