- A Registered Nurse who has a minimum of 7 years full time post graduate experience, with at least 5 years full time equivalent experience in the speciality field. In addition the applicant must have an approved post graduate qualification relevant to the speciality and hold a Masters (pertaining to speciality field) or can demonstrate evidence of significant progress in completing a Masters in the relevant speciality field.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing practice.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both as a member of a multidisciplinary team and independently.
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge and skills in the use of computerised information systems.

Demonstrated skills and experience in delivering education and training. Knowledge of and demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and person / relationship - centred care.

Advanced high level interpersonal and communication skills including advocacy and negotiation with key partners.

Experience in undertaking research and/or clinical practice improvement into SMHSOP clinical services.
