This position covers three locations, Macquarie hospital, Royal North Shore Mental Health Service and Hornsby Mental Health Services

What you'll be doing
The NSLHD Nursing and Midwifery Workforce will be compassionate, competent, confident, contemporary, capable and committed to leading person-centred health care.

MHDA Statement of Intention
The intention of the NSLHD MHDA is to provide recovery-oriented, trauma informed services that are guided by evidence based practices and collaboration.
 
The incumbent in this position is accountable for the operational management of the Macquarie Hospital after hours.

The roles and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
  • Access and patient flow management 
  • Management of staffing resources 
  • Oversight of clinical management issues 
  • Management of incidents and complaints 
  • Liaison and co-operation with the After Hours Nurse Managers – across Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Services
  • Liaison and co-operation with Macquarie Hospital Executive on Call

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
  2. Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA).
  3. Extensive post-graduate experience in the management of and leadership in mental health clinical service delivery.
  4. Relevant post-graduate management qualification, working towards same or extensive equivalent professional experience.
  5. Previous successful management of service development change and quality processes.
  6. Proven commitment to the principles and practices of consumer collaboration and working in a Multidisciplinary Teams that promote a recovery framework.
  7. Advanced written, presentation and computer skills within Microsoft Office and health related software programs.
  8. Current NSW Driver’s licence.
