What you'll be doing
The Trainee Engineer - Medical Services Division is a position within the Clinical Technology Service (CTS) of Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD), consisting of engineering, technical, clinical and administrative staff. The role reports directly to the Senior Electronics Technician, Medical Services Division. The role exists to provide technical support for clinical equipment including performance verification, repairs and preventive maintenance of medical equipment to ensure patient safety and accuracy of treatment.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Undertaking relevant studies supportive of obtaining qualification's in an Engineering discipline relevant to Clinical Engineering.
  2. Capabilities for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of digital/analogue electronic or electromechanical equipment.
  3. Demonstrated experience in prioritisation of resources and self-management.
  4. Demonstrated written, oral and interpersonal skills (in English) with proven ability to communicate effectively within a team environment.
  5. Sound computer skills including database systems and office productivity software. Demonstrated knowledge of the windows operating system and computer networking.
