What you'll be doing
The purpose of the Antimicrobial Stewardship and Clinical Pharmacist role is to work with key stakeholders to facilitate effective and efficient use of antimicrobials at Ryde Hospital with the primary focus to work with clinicians to enhance patient care including ensuring compliance with mandatory standards and policies. 
The incumbent is responsible for the provision of clinical services to a designated clinical area and support to the Senior Pharmacist to provide pharmacy services to the patients within the organisation and working with other health care professionals to enhance patient care.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Current registration as a pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no conditions or restrictions on practice. Evidence of extensive clinical experience.
  2. Extensive experience in the provision of clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting with a demonstrated knowledge of contemporary pharmacy practice.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant state and national policies that facilitate and support Antimicrobial Stewardship including familiarity with NSQHS Standards and Clinical Care Standards.
  4. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and clinical supervision skills and including the ability to mentor, motivate and inspire ongoing development of staff. Ability to liaise with novice and experienced health professionals and external service providers.
