The Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Dialysis unit is now officially open with more shifts to open within the next 6-12 months. The HKH dialysis unit is a 10-chair satellite dialysis unit with the capability of dialysing rehab dialysis inpatients. Our renal team is community driven and community focused, working to give back and provide the best care possible to the local area.

Where you’ll be working: 

Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai Hospitals Renal team is seeking for a motivated, well-rounded, and experienced Registered Nurse who will be responsible in delivering patient centred care within the haemodialysis setting.

What you’ll be doing:
To provide haemodialysis and hemodiafiltration in an outpatient setting. Demonstrated clinical experience in patient assessment and planning care for the dialysis patient with experience in haemodialysis and cannulation. Knowledge in the assessment techniques utilised when performing vascular access surveillance.



People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: 


  1. Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
  4. A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development.
  5. Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  6. An understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements of the Registered Nurse.
