There is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Registered Nurse with Dementia and Delirium experience to join Ryde hospital as a Clinical Nurse Consultant on a permanent full time or part time basis and make a difference!

Ryde Hospital
Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.
The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more.
Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.
What you'll be doing
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is a clinical expert in Dementia and delirium who will provide leadership, advice and recommendations to patients with cognitive impairment, their families and carers and the multidisciplinary team.
The CNC will formulate and implement policy, guide practice development, and engage in education and research activities.
The CNC works closely with clinical teams to develop, facilitate the implementation of, and evaluation of care management plans for patients diagnosed with or experiencing cognitive impairment related conditions.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Registered Nurse who has a minimum of 5 years full time post graduate experience. In addition, the applicant must have an approved post graduate qualification or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
- Demonstrated experience with research activities, developing and implementing education programmes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and people from Government and Non-government agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both as a member of a multidisciplinary team and independently.
