  1. Current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
  2. Demonstrated utilisation of a broad range of computer-based, written and verbal skills to facilitate good communication as well as having effective interpersonal skills required to be an effective critical care clinician
  3. Demonstrated ability to practice in accordance with legislation, policies within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse
  4. A clear commitment to ongoing personal and professional development during the appointment. There is a requirement to complete the Transition to Intensive Care Practice program and a Graduate Certificate in Critical Care within the 2-year appointment
  5. Demonstrated ability to practice from a patient-centred approach, with a willingness to utilise evidence-based practice and quality improvement processes to allow safe and effective delivery of care
  6. Demonstrated knowledge of your responsibility and actions in relation to the detection and care of the deteriorating patient, as well as the ability to apply critical thinking skills to problem solve situations within the acute clinical environment
  7. Availability and capacity to participate in a 24 hour/ seven-day rotating roster which includes working all shifts, all days of the week including public holidays.
