Registered Nurse - Hospital Alternatives - Tweed

1. Current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with demonstrated experience of working with patients within the Community/ambulatory care setting including experience in poviding acute /post-acute clinical management for patients suitable for Hospital in the Home service.
2. .Demonstrated ability to use problem solving skills and a multidisciplinary team approach in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care.
3. Demonstrated effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
4. Knowledge and understanding of person-centred care, evidence based practice and quality improvement.
5. Demonstrated experience and clinical competence in the skill reas required for the HITH service including assessment, monitoring and referral, cannulation, venepuncture, administration of intra-venous medications, management CVAD’s and wound management
6. Understanding of the principles of primary health care practice and integrated care and their applicability to service delivery.
7. Demonstrated understanding of and ability to practice in accordance with legislation, policies and within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse.
8. Availability and capacity to participate in a 24 hour/ seven day rotating roster which includes working all shifts, all days of the week including public holidays and a current Driver's license.
