- Current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse (Division 1), recent experience in surgical or perioperative nursing and a working understanding of the NSW Health Waiting List Management Guidelines and Policies
- Demonstrated ability to use problem solving skills and a multidisciplinary team approach in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care and a working knowledge and understanding of the NSW Health Waiting List Management Guidelines and Policies
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others and the ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with all levels of staff, patients and external agencies.
- Demonstrated understanding of and ability to practice in accordance with legislation, policies and standards of practice affecting Nursing/Midwifery practice
- Knowledge and understanding of person-centred care, evidence based practice and quality improvement
- Advanced computer skills and a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and patient administration systems (PAS) and Powerchart
