Exciting opportunity to join Tweed Valley Hospital, a new, major referral hospital at the heart of the network of hospitals and health facilities across the Tweed-Byron region

  • The new state of the art facility includes:
  • more operating theatres and recovery spaces
  • expanded emergency department
  • enhanced medical, surgical, and mental health services
  • enhanced ambulatory care services including more outpatient clinics
  • new interventional cardiology service
  • new radiotherapy service as part of a new integrated cancer care service

 

About the role

In this role you are responsible for coordinating, facilitating, managing and evaluating the care of women in early stages of pregnancy as a part of the co-located Early Pregnancy Unit in the Emergency Department, within the meta specialty of Emergency and Acute care.

 
 Providing clinical and professional leadership as an expert in the clinical field and undertaking comprehensive health assessments whilst collaborating and consulting with other members of the health care team to plan, implement and evaluate care of patients presenting to the Emergency Department in varying stages of a variety of illnesses. This integrated approach supports best practice and maximises patient care outcomes. The Transitional Nurse Practitioner is appointed for a provisional period of up to 3 years to work towards endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner.

Advanced Registered Nurse and Newly Authorised Nurse Practitioners with no clinical role prior, should refer to the QUT APN self-assessment tool and NP standards to ensure you meet the selection criteria.
