Nurse Practitioner/Transitional - Alcohol and Other Drugs - Lismore

1. Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with a minimum of 5 years’ full time equivalent post registration experience with at least 3 years’ full time experience in AOD and post graduate qualifications relevant to the area of clinical specialty. Note the Nurse Practitioner will require endorsement by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Nurse Practitioner with valid unrestricted drivers’ licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
2. Demonstrated advanced clinical skills, competence and leadership in the assessment, treatment and management of patients with AOD care needs, in particular, patients of the AOD Pharmacotherapy Program
3. Demonstrated understanding of integrated care and proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework and mixed clinical environment.
4. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of current issues impacting on the provision of AOD services in regional and rural areas.
5. Demonstrated high level advanced communication and interpersonal skills (including the use of coaching) across a variety of mediums and proven ability to write for a variety of documents.
6. Proven advanced skills in clinical teaching and leadership in strategic and clinical service planning and evidence of the ability to influence organisational and cultural change.
7. Evidence of high level commitment to quality improvement and evidence based practice.
8. Proven information technology skills with specific experience in the use of word processing, database and spreadsheet software.
