- Certificate in an accredited Clinical Coder Course (HIMAA or OTEN)
- Demonstrated ability to assign ICD-10-AM/ACHI codes and DRGs to inpatient episodes within appropriate skill range.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage a heavy workload effectively to meet productivity targets and data submission deadlines.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ABF and NSW (or other state) Inpatient Statistical Data reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated commitment to undertaking and participating in ongoing education in relation to clinical science, clinical coding and Activity Based Funding.
- Ability to work harmoniously within a team environment through the demonstrated use of excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid drivers licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
