What you'll be doing

Delivering training, reviewing and evaluating the NNSW LHD Child Protection Training Plan for the continuous education of health staff and relevant health non-government agencies (where requested and where resources allow). Operating as an integral member of the Child Protection Team to progress child wellbeing in the NNSW LHD by assisting with clinical projects and other initiatives.
  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work or counselling and eligibility for membership of the relevant professional body
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant legislation and NSW Health policies in regard to child protection
  3. Relevant adult education qualifications, or enrolled in same, such as Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  4. Extensive experience in the provision of professional supervision
  5. Demonstrated ability to analyse and report activity data
  6. Demonstrated high level organisational, communication and negotiation skills, along with strong computer literacy and capacity to use telehealth and videoconferencing facilities
  7. Skills and demonstrated experience in dealing with highly distressed people
  8. Current NSW driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly
