McGrath Breast Care Nurse Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 - Lismore Community Health

1. Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with a postgraduate qualification in Breast Cancer or clinically relevant area and at least 3 years’ clinical experience in providing care for women and men with breast cancer.
2. Demonstrated ability to apply advanced clinical expertise in relation to clinical nursing practice and independently make decisions that support good patient care outcomes.
3. Evidence of clinical leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework to plan, deliver and coordinate patient care.
4. Demonstrated effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
5. Demonstrated experience in the primary case management of Clients across the continuum of care (inpatient and community services) evidenced through advanced knowledge, skills and high level problem solving ability in providing care to clients with breast cancer who have complex care needs.
6. Demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing practice, the provision of education to others and own professional development.
7. Valid unrestricted drivers licence for use in NSW/Australia
