Selection Criteria to be addressed: 

  1. Tertiary qualifications, professional registration/ membership and extensive clinical experience in a child and youth mental health setting in one of the following disciplines: - Occupational Therapy – Bachelor degree and registration with AHPRA - Social Work Bachelor- eligibility for membership of AASW - Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA; - Senior Psychologist- a four year degree being a three year degree with a fourth year honours in psychology or qualifications deemed equivalent by employer, full registration with Psychology Board of Australia. - Clinical Psychology- Master’s degree or higher in clinical psychology, full registration as a psychologist and endorsement to practise as a clinical psychologist with AHPRA
  2. Demonstrated experience in frontline leadership/ management of a clinical service. This includes the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, to work independently, and to exercise independent judgement on issues requiring advanced clinical reasoning.
  3. Demonstrated competence in evidence based clinical assessment and intervention with children and young people experiencing mental health problems, including family-focused approaches, acute care and early psychosis.
  4. Demonstrated partnership building and negotiation skills with a wide range of service providers and well developed understanding of the interface between services.
  5. Demonstrated understanding of the legal and policy framework which governs mental health and child protection within NSW
  6. Evidence of an advanced level of verbal/ written communication skills, analytical and interpersonal skills and ability to apply these to both clinical and management related tasks.
  7. Demonstrated leadership in clinical service planning, developing, coordinating and implementing innovative projects including quality improvement, translating evidence into practise.
  8. Current NSW driver licence (P2 acceptable) and willingness to use same for work purposes.
