Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

The successful candidate will provide efficient and effective Waitlist Management to Nepean Hospital. Within this role you will ensure all Requests for Admission (RFA) are completed in line with the Ministry of Health Policy (Waitlisted within three working days), patients are waitlisted within the appropriate clinical timeframe (Category 1, 2 or 3) and advising patients of there surgery dates.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Demonstrated good verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
  2. Demonstrated ability to clearly document information as well as maintain electronic and hard copy documents/databases
  3. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team environment
  4. Demonstrated computer literacy including proficient keyboard and data entry skills with accuracy and attention to detail
  5. Ability to organise and set work prioritise in a high pressured busy and demanding environment
  6. Experience in a front line role with demonstrated commitment to a quality and patient focused service
  7. Demonstrated ability to effectively use problem solving and negotiation skills
