SELECTION CRITERIA

 

  1. Possess or be eligible for registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
  2. Possess Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), and possess a Qualification as a Certified Urogynaecologist by RANZCOG and/or equivalent specialist recognition as provided for by the Health Insurance Act 1997 and Staff Specialist (State Award) and Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position;
  3. Sound clinical knowledge in Obstetrics & Gynaecology particularly in the subspecialty of Urogynaecology demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position including evidence of participation in quality assurance activities relevant to the specialty;
  4. High level interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary team;
  5. Demonstrated commitment to teaching and junior medical staff supervision consistent with contemporary best practice supervision standards. Agreeable to train future CU trainees in the department
  6. Demonstrates the skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical /Dental Practitioner including modelling of a high standard of professional behaviour to junior medical staff;
  7. Sound clinical knowledge in the subspecialty of Urogynaecology demonstrated by relevant qualifications and/or appropriate post-Fellowship clinical experience. Enthusiastic in setting up related services like public Urodynamic studies clinic, incontinence services, etc.
  8. Familiarity with research concepts and commitment to support basic, applied or clinical research as required within the Department

The exact work duty schedule will be negotiated with the successful candidate. The session allocations are optional and will be negotiated with the candidate for the contractual hours.
