Nepean Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Rehabilitation Unit.

In this rewarding role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals recovering from Neurological, Orthopaedic, Surgical and Medical conditions. You’ll play a key role in helping patients regain function, independence and confidence to return to their daily lives.

As a valued member of our Rehabilitation team, you will deliver comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to patients in accordance with NSW Health standards, collaborate with Medical, Allied Health and Nursing staff to develop and implement individualised care and rehabilitation plans and support our patients and their families through education, encouragement and compassionate care.

What you will bring to the role:

  1. Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  2. Demonstrated clinical experience in a health care setting with demonstrated understanding of Rehabilitation or Palliative Care Nursing. (including completion of a new graduate RN program or equivalent 12 months experience working as a Registered Nurse)
  3. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
  4. Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centred care
  5. Demonstrated effective communication skills – written and verbal
  6. Demonstrated commitment to professional development
  7. Ability to work a flexible roster, day, evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit/service requirements.
