What you will be doing:
An exciting opportunity awaits for Registered Nurses to join our Primary Care and Community Health team on permanent full time or part time assignments.
The NBMLHD Sustaining NSW Families team is responsible for providing home based antenatal and post-natal support and intervention for families in the Penrith and Hawkesbury Local Government Areas who need extra help in their child’s first 2 years of life. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively to provide safe, compassionate, person-centred health care in collaboration with patients, families, carers and the multidisciplinary team.
Your role as Registered Nurse will require you to demonstrate knowledge and application of the skills required of a registered nurse in contemporary nursing practice, including knowledge and understanding of appropriate equipment, legislation, policies and procedures. This includes maintaining patient comfort, privacy, dignity and safety at all times.

Selection Criteria to be Addressed:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated extensive recent experience and clinical skill in provision of care to children aged 0-5 years and their families/carers as a registered nurse (including completion of a new graduate RN program or 12 months full time equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated evidence of working within a Multidisciplinary team to facilitate the care planning for vulnerable families with complex needs.
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work and an ability to work effectively both within a team and autonomously.
- Demonstrated effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development, evidence-based practice and an awareness of changes within the health care environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to utilise information technology systems within a variety of applications (e.g., Cerner) and commitment to undertake training in electronic health record systems as required.
- Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia and willingness to use for work purposes.
