SELECTION CRITERIA

1.       Possess or be eligible for specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

2.       Hold and/or be able to satisfy selection and recruitment to a substantive relevant senior medical appointment in NBMLHD.

3.       Demonstrated current clinical knowledge and technical expertise in contemporary clinical practice in the relevant specialty.

4.       Demonstrated commitment to medical education and staff training.

5.       Demonstrated ability in strategic clinical services planning and the provision of patient focused comprehensive, high quality and cost-effective clinical service.

6.       Demonstrated personal qualities of clinical leadership, including excellent engagement and communication skills, motivation, initiative, time management and commitment to negotiation and team building.

7.       Demonstrated ability to innovate, implement and improve patient safety, patient flow, continuum of care and waiting  times for treatment.

8.       Relevant clinical leadership experience.
