Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The successful incumbent will provide general administrative support to a particular medical specialty as allocated. This role requires working knowledge of office systems and procedures and an ability to meet tight deadlines.

What you will bring to the role
- Extensive administration experience with high level knowledge of Microsoft office suite, working in a similar support role including secretarial skills and having the ability to multitask and be adaptable to change.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and experience working in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication skills in both written and oral form, including attention to detail. This is demonstrated through the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including patients and health professionals.
- Demonstrated initiative to solve problems, ability to prioritise, coordinate and time manage daily tasks with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills when dealing with people with complex health needs
- Capacity to undertake a diverse range of administrative tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment
- Experience in paper based and electronic record maintenance and filing.
