Selection criteria to be addressed:
MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and in possession of Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology or equivalent, as provided for in the Health Insurance Act 1997 and the Staff Specialists (NSW) Award.
Overseas Trained Specialists who do not hold FRANZCOG must include a copy of their comparability assessment from RANZCOG and be eligible for Fellowship in the first 6 months of appointment.
Experience and interest in the supervision, training and professional development of O&G trainees and junior medical staff.
Demonstrated interest in the management of clinical services appropriate to the needs of the Facility and Demonstrated personal qualities of clinical leadership, including excellent communication skills, motivation, initiative, time management and commitment to negotiation and clinical team building.
Evidence of Continuing Medical Education and self-monitoring/audit practices that support credentialing to the position and are commensurate with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
Experience and involvement in quality assurance activities and evidence based best practice with demonstrated commitment to basic, applied or clinical research, medical education and staff training and supervision.
Qualification, or enrolment in a qualification in Obstetric and Gynaecological ultrasound, is advantageous
Salaries and conditions are in accordance with the Staff Specialist Award
