Clinical Psychologist - Nepean Hospital - Temp PT

Selection Criteria to be addressed:

1. Accredited post-graduate Masters or Doctorate degree in clinical psychology. Current full registration and clinical endorsement or working towards endorsement with Psychologists Board, AHPRA Two years postgraduate experience is essential.
2. Sensitivity to the needs of women with high-risk pregnancies or at risk of genetic abnormality, who present with a variety of psychological, emotional, social and medical challenges.
3. Demonstrated skills in the application of evidence-based psychological interventions, preferably in a medical setting.
4. Experience in individual and group therapy programs.
5. Experience in working in a multidisciplinary team including the ability to provide education on psychosocial issues to staff.
6. Commitment to professional development and experience in quality improvement /research activities.
7. Experience in working with families and providing referral pathways to assist with adjustment to parenthood.
8. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit the target audience including the ability to communicate in a sensitive and professional manner with patients and staff.
