Selection criteria to be addressed:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or related discipline or working towards completion of same or with demonstrated experience in relevant field.
- Understanding of and the ability to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, legislation and specific organisational policies and procedures.
- Sound analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to analyse data and assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements and present in a professional format with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to consult effectively with customers, colleagues and key stakeholders both internal and external.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team with highly developed organisational and time management skills.
- High level of computer literacy with demonstrated competency in the use of financial systems and Microsoft Office products, in particular spreadsheet and database applications.
- Demonstrated ability to support other financial accounting team members as well as relevant external stakeholders to achieve organisational and departmental goals.
- Demonstrated ongoing commitment and contribution to the development of an improved team culture.
