Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.
This role will deliver exemplary physiotherapy services to patients selected for the High-Volume Short Stay Surgical (HVSS) Model of Care at Hawkesbury District Hospital, within the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD).
The HVSS Model is a targeted initiative aimed at improving the efficiency and accessibility of elective surgical services across NSW Health. Developed in accordance with best-practice frameworks from the Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI), the model enhances patient flow, reduces hospital length of stay, and increases capacity for high-demand elective procedures.

What you will bring to the role
- Degree in Physiotherapy and current full National Physiotherapy Registration with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated effective written & verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high quality clinical services across a broad range of clinical areas especially surgical and orthopaedics.
- Demonstrated effective time management skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and demonstrated knowledge of & experience with Quality Improvement & Evidence Based Practice.
- Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
