Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Support Officer (CSO) to join our Women’s and Children’s Team. In this ward based role you will support the work activities of nurses, medical staff, and allied health professionals, with shift times tailored to meet patient and service delivery needs.
As CSO, you will provide timely and accurate administrative and transactional services under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager(s), complementing existing roles, systems, and processes. While working under broad supervision, the role requires initiative and independent action within established work practices and procedures.

What you will bring to the role
- Holds or willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health administration or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills, including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken work and ability to deal courteously with people at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office, Healthroster, Staff link, iProcurement and My Health Learning.
- Capacity work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment.
- Able to demonstrate problem solving and prioritising skills in a work environment.
- Be able to meet the physical demands of the position as listed in the physical requirements in the position description.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
