We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Policy Officer to join the Intergovernmental Relations Team which sits within the Policy and Funding Reform, and Intergovernmental Relations Unit within the Government Relations, Strategy and Violence Prevention Branch at the NSW Ministry of Health.
This is a pivotal role for a dynamic individual who enjoys working as part of a team in a progressive and fast-paced environment, often with complex or sensitive policy issues. Your role is critical in coordinating high-quality advice for senior executives in preparation to represent NSW Health in national forums.
Crown Clerk 9/10, starting salary from $125,693 - $138,510 p.a. plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you'll be doing
The Policy and Funding Reform, and Intergovernmental Liaison Unit within the Government Relations, Strategy and Violence Prevention Branch is responsible for stewarding reform efforts with the Commonwealth and other States and Territories, developing innovative policy and system reforms, and securing health funding for NSW.
This includes leading engagement with other jurisdictions, NSW central agencies and national funding bodies on complex intergovernmental issues and linking with relevant areas across NSW Health to support this work.
As the Senior Policy Officer in the Intergovernmental Relations Team, you will support the Health Minister and Health Executive to effectively position NSW on priority health issues at the Health Ministers’ Meetings (HMM) and the Health Chief Executive Forum (HCEF).
The role involves providing a comprehensive range of high-level coordination and quality assurance functions to support delivery of high-quality and timely briefings for stakeholders representing NSW at various intergovernmental forums including the Health Ministers’ Meeting, Health Chief Executives Forum and Healthdirect Shareholder Committee.
