The System Purchasing Branch at Ministry of Health has one temporary Senior Data Analyst opportunity in the Climate Risk and Net Zero Unit (CRNZ) for up to 11 months (to July 2026). In order to be eligible to apply for this role, you must be a permanent/ongoing employee or a temporary employee.

This is a secondment opportunity where you are required to have permission from your home agency to be released from your usual duties for the period.

About this role
The Senior Data Analyst, manages and leads initiatives in the design, development and maintenance of data processes and data integrity for the Climate Risk and Net Zero Unit.

The Senior Data Analyst, CRNZ will:

  • Provide advice and support to System Purchasing Branch senior executives and staff across the NSW Health Service and the Ministry of Health to consistently interpret and apply findings of sustainability datasets.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures that control the acquisition, analysis and release of data and reports, including thorough quality assurance reviews (involving subject matter experts, where appropriate).
  • Monitor and evaluate all aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures.
  • Lead and participate in quantitative and qualitative research to address policy issues and inform policy development.
  • Explore and evaluate new policy approaches, including undertaking cost-benefit analyses and impact assessment, to provide sound strategic advice on their potential for application within NSW Health and achievement of Ministry and Government objectives.


Crown Clerk 9/10, salary from $129,464 - $142,665  plus Super and annual leave loading
