About this role:

The Project Officer role is an integral part of a dynamic team examining medical workforce policy issues.  The position involves working closely with the Medical Advisor and the Manager to support a range of medical projects and Committees.


The successful applicant will have high level administrative and project management skills and will provide a range of project management and support services, including supporting state-wide Committees, preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans.


Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel are essential.  Having a clinical background or experience working in the health care system would be beneficial but is not essential for this position.


Where you'll be working:


The position is based within the Medical Workforce Policy Unit which is part of the Workforce Planning and Talent Development Branch within the NSW Ministry of Health.  The Medical Workforce Policy Unit works closely with Local Health Districts and other jurisdiction and the Commonwealth to address workforce and training issues impacting on its medical workforce.
