  • With a progressive strategy focused on integrated care and community wellbeing, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District is seeking a highly motivated individual to lead the newly created Population and Community Health Directorate.
  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in delivering innovative models working across primary, secondary and tertiary care and be experienced in change management.
  • With a broad range of existing community-based services within the portfolio, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to maximise benefit to the community.
This role will be required to work in locations across South Eastern Sydney Local Health District including Randwick, Sydney CBD, Kogarah and Caringbah. The base location for the position will be confirmed with the successful applicant.

Role Outline
The Director, Population and Community Health is responsible for leading the operational functions, development, implementation and co-ordination of community health services, population health services and integrated health initiatives within SESLHD. The role drives improved health outcomes, improved patient experience of care, better co-ordination of services between primary, community and hospital settings and works towards greater overall efficiency of health care system delivery.

The Director is responsible for improving the accessibility and equity of health service delivery to vulnerable and priority population groups living within the South Eastern Sydney region through extensive engagement and collaboration across multiple agencies across both government and non-government health sectors

Essential Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field and/or demonstrated extensive proven experience at a senior management level in a substantial and complex organisation engaged in clinical service delivery

This is an ongoing, full time, Band 1, Health Service senior executive (HSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $210,655 - $233,146 per annum, with annual performance reviews, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
