Under the National Agreement on Closing the Gap - Priority Reform 4 and the NSW Government Data Strategy, the NSW Government is dedicated to increasing access to Government held data including improving the user-friendliness of data and insights provided to Aboriginal communities and organisations. You will be instrumental in driving this change!

What you'll be doing
 

ROLE 1: 
The Manager, Closing the Gap Data and Information, together with the Senior Project Officer will drive NSW Health's work program to deliver on the NSW Closing the Gap Implementation Plan 2022-24. Together with the Coalition of Aboriginal Peak Organisations (CAPO), staff from other NSW Government agencies and Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC), you will work closely with Aboriginal communities to understand data needs and provide culturally safe and customer centric advice around health data availability and use.

Commencing Salary $134,411 - $155,445 plus superannuation and annual leave loading

ROLE 2: 
The Senior Project Officer, Closing the Gap Data and Information will assist the Manager with NSW Health’s work program to deliver on the NSW Closing the Gap Implementation Plan 2022-24. You will work closely with Aboriginal communities to understand data needs and provide culturally safe and customer-centric advice around health data availability and use. Additionally, you will partner with the Department of Premier and Cabinet's central delivery and reform team to develop a “Data Sharing Service”. 

Commencing Salary $116,211 - $128,061 plus superannuation and annual leave loading

Working at The Ministry of Health 
The Closing the Gap Data Team is a newly established team within the Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence at the NSW Ministry of Health. The Centre produces relevant and timely epidemiological reports and develops innovative systems for data collection, analysis and reporting. 
The position is located in St Leonards, in a modern, purpose-built building.
