Expressions of interest are being sought from NSW Health staff wishing to apply to this nine (9) month internal opportunity. In order to be eligible to apply for this role, you must be a NSW Health employee.
This is a secondment opportunity where you are required to have permission from your home agency to be released from your usual duties for the period.

The Principal Policy Officer, Performance Support will be focusing on health system performance, implementing patient flow improvement strategies and supporting statewide initiatives to improve service delivery. You will lead and manage the planning and delivery of critical and highly complex projects and patient flow performance support reviews across NSW. We offer a fast paced, dynamic and supported environment with a strong team culture and an opportunity to partner with hospitals across NSW.
Crown Clerk 11/12, salary from $145,378 - $168,130 plus Super and annual leave loading

What you'll be doing
- Coordinating multiple high profile statewide projects while balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with a high attention to detail and high-quality deliverables.
- Understand key measures and data sets related to access and patient flow with skills in analysing data rapidly and developing reports.
- Strong skills with designing performance support improvement programs and adapting to different contexts.
- Understand of different project methodologies with the ability to apply this to projects across organisations. The ability to develop an approach for rapid diagnostics to understand patient flow challenges, identify root causes and develop solutions.
- Ability to rapidly respond to executive correspondence and ministerials.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with:
- Formal qualifications or proven experience with project management and project methodologies and the ability to apply these across complex projects statewide.
- Intermediate knowledge of data and analytics and experience in developing and presenting diagnostic reports to senior executives.
- Experience with leading and developing complex projects to deliver organisation change, preferably at a hospital, district and state level.
