About this role
Be part of a high-performing and dynamic team within the NSW Ministry of Health that enables health practitioners to comply with the legislation regarding prescribing and supplying medicines in NSW.
Crown Clerk 1/2, starting salary from $71,694 - $76,857 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you'll be doing
- Provide clerical and data entry support services to support the unit’s regulatory and administrative obligations.
- Process and prioritise applications to prescribe Schedule 8 drugs of addiction to support compliance with legislation. Create and maintain files to ensure chronologically correct and accurate information records are maintained.
- Answer or redirect telephone enquiries to other team members to ensure prompt response to all enquiries and maintaining a professional and courteous manner in representing the team.
- Support prescribers in the application process, supporting the operations of the team.
- Work cooperatively within and across teams and actively support others to achieve Branch objectives.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- Demonstrated computer keyboard, data entry and word processing skills.
- Ability to prioritise and complete work within required timeframes.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
- Ability to work flexibly and with initiative in a team environment.
- Demonstrating a diplomatic and positive manner with difficult and confrontational queries and complaints.
- Working under pressure in a high-volume area to ensure that applications are dealt with in a timely manner.
- The ability to work in a small dynamic team environment.
