About this role

The role is ideally suited to someone who wants to apply their skills in critical thinking, project management, and business process management to strengthen the operational management of the Centre for Alcohol and Other Drugs and improve the health and wellbeing of people at risk or experiencing harms from AOD use. This role within the Programs and Services Unit will require a person with excellent communication, collaboration and customer service skills, and a focus on delivering quality services, to support the Centre to deliver high quality services. The successful applicant will be joining a vibrant and fast-paced team and centre which supports opportunities for further learning and professional development.
Crown Clerk 5/6, starting salary from $ 93,295 - $102,941plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you'll be doing
- Support the implementation programs of alcohol and other drug (AOD) strategic projects and initiatives in line with the strategic priorities of the CAOD.
- Coordinate correspondence and briefings within variable deadlines to ensure efficient and appropriate recording and handling of documents.
- Support CAOD’s web-based resources to ensure they are current according to the Ministry’s web publishing and web content standards.
- Maintain effective relationships with key staff across CAOD, provide operational support with a customer service approach, and work collaboratively with others to support project delivery.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop long-term relationships with senior executives and management.
- The ability to support multiple projects with tight deadlines and competing demands and priorities.
- Experience and skill in a range of secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating meetings, preparing papers, taking minutes and keeping track of actions.
- The ability to work in a dynamic team environment
