What you'll be doing
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form – IM011 form).
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.

- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience preferably in aged care and commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice
- Demonstrated application of evidence based practice and critical thinking to patient care
- Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality nursing care
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology, written and verbal means; and sound interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people
- Proven ability to use initiative, be self- motivated and work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative team environment with a focus on delivering organised and prioritised care, in order to achieve the most effective and efficient outcomes for the elderly patients
