- Current registration with the Nurses & Midwives Board of Australia and a postgraduate qualification in child and family health nursing practice or willingness to undertake this qualification.
- Demonstrated nursing skills, knowledge and ability relevant to area within a community setting.
- Demonstrated clinical problem solving skills to maximise patient care.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan and coordinate patient care in a multidisciplinary team environment providing outcome based care.
- Understanding of management of clients with complex needs in the community setting.
- Demonstrated awareness and understanding of Aboriginal culture and current issues in Aboriginal Women's health specifically relating to pregnancy, child birth and infant.
