Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa). 

The MNCLHD are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our amazing team at Port Macquarie Base Hospital on Sundays.

About you

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualifications recognised for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
  • Significant expertise in the planning, implementation and evaluation of occupational therapy service
  • Advanced reasoning skills with the ability to apply professional judgement and evidence based practice in complex clinical situations
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills including consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills

What you'll be doing

You will be working autonomously as a Sole Occupational Therapist in the Port Macquarie Base Hospital on Sundays. This position requires significant hospital experience and expertise to work autonomously across the hospital covering a broad clinical caseload, with focus on discharge, patient flow and safety. There may be further available work throughout the week if this aligns with your interest and availability, pending leave and vacancies
