What you'll be doing
The Specialist Melanoma Nurse delivers expert nursing care, clinical advice and support to inpatients/ outpatients, nurses, and other health care professionals with regards to high risk and advanced melanoma.
The Specialist Melanoma Nurse will be expected to work predominantly within the treatment settings for advanced and high-risk melanoma.
The Specialist Melanoma Nurse will work closely with the Medical and Surgical Oncologists as a key part of the treatment team. Specialist Melanoma Nurses will sub-specialise within the areas of surgical and medical oncology nursing.

- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with relevant post -registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience in Oncology and/or post graduate qualification.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with others, and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to mentor and coach nursing staff to enhance professional development.
- Demonstrated ability in leading and initiating activities to improve service delivery and patient clinical outcomes.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple demands on time.
