What you'll be doing
The McGrath CCC will provide collaborative clinical and supportive care, as well as the facilitation of communication within the multidisciplinary cancer care team using the McGrath Model of Care.
The McGrath CCC will demonstrate expert knowledge of cancer care and provide advanced and complex care coordination to oncology patients of MNCCI using the McGrath Model of Care and MNCLHD policy and procedure.
The McGrath CCC will be expected to work predominantly within the treatment settings for oncology patients and will work closely with the Medical and Surgical Oncologists as a key part of the treatment team.
The McGrath CCC provides leadership in the ongoing review of current clinical practice, ensuring it is evidence based and bench marked against peers to ensure best practice

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.

A TALENT POOL MAY BE CREATED FOR FUTURE ROLES AND WILL REMAIN VALID FOR 18 MONTHS.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with relevant post -registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience in Oncology and/or post graduate qualification.
- Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, initiate and manage complex cancer care.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with others, and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to mentor and coach nursing staff to enhance professional development.
- Demonstrated ability in leading and initiating activities to improve service delivery and patient clinical outcomes.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with effective organisational and time management skills.
