What you'll be doing
The Program Manager - Adult Survivors Program will be responsible for overarching program leadership, strategic management, implementation, governance, business planning, risk and budget management, stakeholder engagement and coordination and overseeing the development of a sustainable local model of care in alignment with state-wide requirements of NSW Health’s new Adult Survivors Program – a specialist integrated program for adult survivors of child sexual abuse with complex needs.


The Adult Survivors Program is a significant reform initiative being implemented by NSW Health in response to findings from the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. The program aims to improve outcomes for adult survivors of child sexual abuse, with a particular focus on survivors of complex trauma with mental health and alcohol and other drug support needs.  The program model takes a hybrid strategic-clinical approach.
This role will work in close partnership with the Clinical Coordinator – Adult Survivors Program to ensure effective and sustainable local implementation of this innovative new program.


The Program Manager - Adult Survivors Program will work from a strengths-based, family-centred, culturally appropriate and trauma informed approach. This role will be required to recruit, coach, mentor and performance develop identified staff as well as manage delegated financial responsibilities.
The Project Manager, Adult Survivor Program, will be responsible for effective leadership, management, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of processes to achieve project outcomes. This role will not provide direct services to clients.

About you, do you have?
  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant field; or extensive relevant experience in a large and diverse service industry organisation or a combination of study and work experience.
  2. Demonstrated understanding in developing and maintaining a culturally safe and trauma informed service program. Including high level understanding of the historical impacts of intergenerational trauma for Aboriginal communities.
  3. Highly developed communication, interpersonal and influencing skills to maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders including Ministry of Health, district senior management, project team partners, consumers, Aboriginal organisations and other key stakeholders.
