- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Extensive operational management knowledge and skills in a relevant setting, that demonstrate an ability to effectively coordinate unit / service activities.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure the human, physical and financial resources of the unit / service are managed, within a defined budget, to deliver safe and efficient health care.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a nursing team within a mutidisciplinary team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with all levels of staff, patients and external agencies and the ability to positively influence organisational change.
- Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use a variety of computer applications.
- Extensive leadership using contemporary change management methodologies and an understanding of current issues impacting on the nursing profession.
