About Your Role

This Allied Health professional is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team providing, planning and delivering comprehensive, high-quality care to patients/ clients of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) in order to support management of their health needs and to promote wellness.

The role is to support and develop the early career AHRGP physiotherapists’ competence, skills and networks required for sustainable rural practice in rural locations to provide a flexible physiotherapy service that meets the needs of the rural community and optimises patient outcomes. The AHRGP aims to provide access to appropriate and quality allied health services in the rural locations that are developed in a supported and structured way (see also www.sarrah.org.au/ahrgp).

The position is responsible for ensuring a range of high-level assessment, therapeutic and preventative physiotherapy services are delivered within the scope of the early career physiotherapists and according to relevant models of care, priorities and MLHD CORE values.
