Server Operations Specialist

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong report writing and presentation skills, and excellent customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Detailed knowledge of effective identification, investigation and response to security incidents or weaknesses in the organisation’s security with experience in the development of appropriate solutions.
• Strong skills complex server/application environments, conducting server maintenance operations and fault diagnosis tasks and experience in TCP/IP and LAN/WAN routing and switching protocols.
• Detailed knowledge of data storage and backup and related systems in large business environments.
• Demonstrated experience in the configuration and implementation of enterprise-grade server and storage hardware/firmware and strong skills in design and implementation of associated monitoring and management systems.
• Strong skills across foundational technologies such as: virtualisation, Active Directory, antivirus, Citrix deployment, end-user mobility and knowledge of the operation of reporting and analysis tools to assist in fault diagnoses and resolution.
• Detailed knowledge of the implementation and maintenance of server and communications room infrastructure including power systems, air conditioning and structured cabling.
