Senior Occupational Therapist - Intellectual Disability
Selection Criteria
- Bachelor or post graduate degree in Occupational Therapy with current authority to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Knowledge, skills and experience to meet the requirements of the NSW Health Professionals Award level.
- Current/recent (within the last six (6) months) experience working with people with Intellectual Disabilities.
- Demonstrated excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Extensive specialist or broad generalist knowledge in Intellectual Disabilities, ability to work with minimal supervision, and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work/caseload.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development, quality improvement and evidence based practice.
- Demonstrated ability to lead planning and evaluation of team activities.
- Current unrestricted NSW drivers licence, ability and willingness to travel across the Far West LHD, frequently staying overnight, sometimes several nights.
