  2. Relevant qualification in Clinical Psychology, Social Work or Counselling. For Social Work, eligibility for membership with AASW. For Clinical Psychology, a Master's degree or higher in Clinical Psychology from an APAC Accredited University with current AHPRA registration. For Counselling, a bachelor degree in counselling or a related field.
  3. Understanding of Health service therapeutic responses to sexual assault, physical abuse, neglect of children and demonstrated skills as well as experience in providing therapeutic responses to victims.
  4. Knowledge of Northern Sydney Local Health Service, service delivery and referral networks. Demonstrated capacity to understand and canvass the needs of the community and to develop community-driven approaches that will enhance positive outcomes for children and young people.
  5. Demonstrated capacity to work in partnership with key multidisciplinary and interagency stakeholders and to lead the development of therapeutic responses to meet demands and client needs in a multi-agency context.
  6. Understanding of the legislation, Government policies, including NSW Health policies as well as legal issues surrounding sexual assault and the physical abuse and neglect of children.
  7. High level written and verbal communication skills, including interagency negotiation skills as well as capacity to engage with children, young people, families and communities
  8. Experience in using office computer systems, word- processing, spread sheets and data bases as well as demonstrated ability to manage a diverse range of tasks, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines and a current NSW Driver’s license.
