- Full registration with the Dental Board of Australia and a minimum of two years' (full time equivalent) clinical experience or extensive clinical experience as a dentist.
- Proven highly advanced clinical skills and clinical reasoning abilities in managing most of the difficult situations, complex medical histories, children and those with physical and mental disabilities.
- Demonstrate an earned recognition of their exceptional competence in general dental work and have a proven record for carrying out a broad range of advanced and complex dental procedures, as well as be experienced in performing procedures under oral sedation, relative analgesia and general anaesthesia.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead a multidisciplinary clinical team, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, act as a mentor to other clinical staff, teach undergraduate students as well as assume responsibility for providing clinical supervision, advice and support to all dental practitioners within the team.
- Have a proven record of undertaking responsibility for components of clinical governance and peer review and the provision of in-service clinical development education programs for staff and students.
- Proven ability to carry out duties and assume responsibilities involving planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on clinical services provided by all Dental Practitioners in the team.
- Current valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel across NSLHD clinics to provide relief if required.
