Selection Criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in an allied health with genetic/ophthalmic or related expertise
  2. Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership, project management and managing issues, including across different backgrounds and professional levels.
  3. Evidence of leadership in research/quality improvement activities which are related but not limited to the genetic or ophthalmology departments.
  4. Ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team and a willingness to work flexibly as directed to achieve outcomes which may arise from changing needs and priorities.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communications skills and demonstrated experience in developing implementation documents for clinical or education purposes.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Well-developed planning, organizing and work management abilities and strong attention to detail.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team and commitment to professional improvement.
