- Current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Midwife (Division 1) with post-registration management and/or speciality qualification and/or relevant acute clinical management experience
- Demonstrated extensive Midwifery management experience and leadership skills with proven ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture and articulate and achieve a vision for Midwifery services.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities for services, establish and achieve agreed objectives.
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to continuous quality improvement and the ability to initiate and manage change.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a Midwifery team within a complex multidisciplinary team environment.
- Demonstrated highly developed coaching, communication and negotiation skills with ability to negotiate resolutions and manage conflict.
- Competence in all clinical and workforce applications in health
- Understanding of and commitment to the effective and meaningful engagement of clinicians in the decision making process that impacts on positive outcomes for women and newborns
