Selection Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or Finance and/or proven extensive/recent experience and skills using accounting standards and practices for financial management improvement particularly in the Public Sector.
  2. Demonstrated experience in full budget preparation, budget cash flow, maintenance of budget variations and staff profiles.
  3. Demonstrated experience in the application of budgetary control and management reporting on a facility/cost centre/program/basis, including developing full year projections.
  4. Significant communication skills and experience in the establishment of formal relationships with units and stakeholders, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people and organisations including external clients.
  5. High level and demonstrated sound organisational, analytical and complex problem solving skills with the ability to successfully manage competing priorities, deliver quality outcomes and meet tight deadlines.
  6. Demonstrated experience in the design, planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems, languages and reporting tools appropriate to an accounting environment.
  7. Demonstrated experience in managing systems and tools in the analysis and development of roadmaps.
